Party in Ironhome
The adventurers, who go by The Dawn Sword, arrived in the Dwarven mining colony of Ironhome, finishing their escort mission as guards for a dwarven clan traversing the dangerous Underdark.
The entire session played out inside of Ironhome, leading up to a big crechendo. A gambling party organised by the Elven Wizard in the tavern room she rented, the queen’s suite up in the fifth and final floor.
The game night also happened during the Druid’s real life birthday party, which, although accidentally, fit perfectly.
Other things that happened in the week they spent in Ironhome:
• Grandpa Clore, the venerable Cleric, aided the local doctor who is mostly occupied with mining accidents.
• Gambling on grub pit fights and defeating the reigning carrion grub with einning initiative and a natural 20 to-hit for one of the grubs the barbarian bought off of an illegal grub-dealer or collected out of the trash cave.
• Druid and Barbarian blacking out after a heavy duty drinking contest. They’re both featherweights. Last Rowena the Goblinoid Druid remembers, she started mimicking animals, “swimming” across the party floor.
• Listening to a travelling Singer’s 7-minute epic pretty much detailing how he got here. Syara hired him for her own party afterwards so maybe it was worth it.
• Buying lots of food, and detailing exactly what food. General goods store “Iron Pot” only had 3 weeks worth of rations. This started off a quest of finding food that won’t spoil a week into their journey and hopefully tastes a little better than everything they ate in the Underdark so far.
There’s a menu of dish options in the works by the Wizard (who is also supplying the alcohol). Nice way to keep morale high during travel.
• Forgetting to take their payment for the escort-job and taking off to Ziran, the Drow city 3000 feet deeper in the earth.
